Women in Politics

It may be important to recognize that the United States government, from the day it was created, exists for the promotion and the protection of the common good. The common good may be interpreted as the good of the entire community. The principles and morals of the common good are portrayed through policies and regulations of our society. One may identify the fact that inequality through sexism has failed to allow the values and initiatives of the United States to represent a consensus. This failure to distribute power equally between men and women has flawed the access to political power.

Left: First Lady Michelle Obama speaking of women all over the world who are on the frontier of empowerment and just equality. These remarks were recorded during an International Women's Day event at the State Department.
